HOW LONG DOES THE WORM CASTING COMPANY RETAIN MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

The amount of time The Worm Casting Company will retain personal information varies, depending on the services The Worm Casting Company has provided and the nature of the personal information that The Worm Casting Company holds. The Worm Casting Company only retains personal information for such period of time as is necessary for the legitimate purposes for which the personal data are processed, and we not legally required to continue to keep it.

Where you purchase products from us online, we may also retain information about your order history (such as Transaction Data relating to previous orders) for up to 10 years. DOES THE WORM CASTING COMPANY SHARE MY INFORMATION?

  • Payments: We accept payments through WooCommerce Payments. When processing payments, some of your data will passed to WooCommerce Payments, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Sensitive payment information is entered into a payment field that originates directly from a PCI-DSS validated server, therefore payment information is encrypted, protected by firewalls and other measures, and not directly stored on The Worm Casting Company’s site.
  • Security Logs: The IP address of site visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. This site is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities by the iThemes Site Scanner. We do not send personal information to the scanner; however, the scanner could find personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) during the scan. Information is retained for 14 days.
  • Government and Law Enforcement: We may share your information as required or permitted by law, including sharing with governmental agencies, law enforcement, or authorized third parties, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other party to legal liability.
