We use USPS Priority, UPS Ground and LTL Freight for our shipping services. Orders generally do not ship Saturdays, Sundays or holidays, and delivery time varies based on the type of shipment.

Earthworm Casting Products:
Worm casting products are shipped via UPS Ground or LTL Freight. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. Production and shipment of full truckload orders of castings are coordinated directly with customers.

Tea & Extract Equipment and Supplies:
Equipment and supply products are shipped via UPS Ground or LTL Freight. Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Equipment is fabricated to order, which generally takes 2-4 weeks before products are shipped.

Composting Worms:
Earthworms are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Orders placed by Sunday at 12 pm CT will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday in order to arrive by Friday.

At the discretion of The Worm Casting Company, shipments may be postponed due to extremely hot or cold weather conditions. No worm orders are accepted or shipped between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays due to unreliable shipping durations.

We guarantee live worms upon delivery, but the worms must be promptly brought into a favorable environment and protected from prolonged exposure to temperatures below 60 degrees F or above 90 degrees F.

Check the temperature forecast for the week of expected shipment. If temperatures are expected to be less than 60 degrees F or above 90 degrees F and no one is available to receive the delivery, please request “HOLD AT POST OFFICE FOR PICK UP” during checkout. Worms held at the Post Office should be picked up within 24 hours.
