Wormcast Extract from the The Worm Casting Company is made from our OMRI Listed earthworm castings to provide a stable and high concentration of rhizosphere relevant microbes for liquid application.

This concentrated extract is an ideal approach to provide the benefits of worm castings in a stable, liquid form for gardens, lawns, potted plants and landscaping. Application to soil supplies a broad diversity of beneficial microbes for optimal root development and to help make nutrients more available for plant uptake.

Extract is made to order, screened through a 50 mesh filter, and typically ships within 3-5 days. A packet of microbial food, specifically formulated to activate and feed the beneficial microbial communities in liquid extractions, is included with the extract.

Usage Guidelines

SHAKE WELL, DILUTE AND ADD MICROBIAL FOOD.

Use diluted product right away. Do not store overnight or pour back into the bottle.

Agitate, then mix 1 cup (8 oz) of wormcast concentrated extract into 1 gallon of unchlorinated water. Add 1 tsp of microbial food to activate and feed the beneficial soil bacteria and fungi.

Trees, Vines & Shrubs: During planting, drench both the newly dug hole or furrow and the backfilled area after planting. Reapply monthly throughout the growing season by drenching the soil across the root zone.

Vegetables, Annuals & Perennials: Before seeding or transplanting, drench holes or furrows, then apply to area over seeds or around roots after planting. Reapply every 3-4 weeks throughout the growing season by wetting the soil across the root zone.

Lawn & Turf: After seeding, thoroughly drench the newly seeded area. Once established, reapply 3-4 times per year throughout the growing season at a rate of 1 gallon diluted product per 100 sq ft.

Storage Conditions

Store concentrated extract in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight. Do not allow to freeze, but also do not store at temperatures above 120 degrees F.

The Microbial Food included with the wormcast extract is a balanced and diverse microbial food resource for the proliferation of naturally occurring microbes present in worm castings and wormcast extract, with an emphasis on fungal development.
