Fine grain earthworm castings from The Worm Casting Company are microbe-rich castings from juvenile earthworms, screened from finished vermicompost through a 1/8” inch mesh hardware cloth.

With less potential for clogging and faster break down, these finer grain castings from younger worms are ideal for preparing liquid extracts or actively aerated teas to more economically supply a broad diversity of beneficial soil microorganisms.

Usage Guidelines

Soak 2 quarts of fine grain worm castings in 2-5 gallons of unchlorinated water for 24 – 48 hrs with occasional stirring and aeration if possible. Apply within 24 hours.

If desired, add microbial food to activate and feed the beneficial soil bacteria and fungi just prior to application.

Trees, Vines & Shrubs: During planting, drench both the newly dug hole or furrow and the backfilled area after planting. Reapply monthly throughout the growing season by drenching soil across the root zone.

Vegetables, Annuals & Perennials: Before seeding or transplanting, drench holes or furrows, then apply to area over seeds or around roots after planting. Reapply every 3-4 weeks throughout the growing season by wetting the soil across the root zone.

Lawn & Turf: After seeding, thoroughly drench the newly seeded area. Once established, reapply 4 times per year throughout the growing season.
